Life's Museum
Let's talk a walk back through my life and see collections there
Of all the lovely joys I've known and all the things I feared.
First, here's a smile, the one I wore the day my daughter came.
This laugh found life upon the day my son first called my name.
The worried frown was on my face when baby grew too bold.
This simple grin was born to me when life first named me old.
The giggle came from childhood sweet when Mama tickled me.
The pout came from my lips the day my Daddy scolded me.
This passion rose the evening when love whispered "I love you".
This pride has risen ev'ryday my little children grew.
This sadness joined my life the day I lost one dear to me.
That happiness came from my heart the day I turned sixteen.
And here we see the tears I cried the day my daughter wed.
And over there the fear I felt when baby bumped his head.
So take a walk and see them all, they're here to show you how
This life so like museum rooms is filled with relics now.
